Why is Uber Eats more expensive than ordering direct?
Two things stack. First, the menu price itself is higher — delivery platforms take a cut of every order, so restaurants price for it. Second, the app adds its own service and delivery fees on top of that already-higher price. Between them, third-party apps can add up to 30% to what you pay. Ordering direct removes both layers, which is why the same Super Nash Sando lands at $17 instead of $21.05.
