Why we call it a sando
In Nashville the classic serve is a sandwich: hot chicken, bread, pickles. That's how we first had it at Howlin' Ray's — two-hour queue, worth every minute — and sando is just sandwich, shortened. What's in the Super Nash Sando
$17. Everything is cooked to order, then finished in your heat — Southern, Nash, Hot or Reaper.
- Super Nash Thigh. The whole fillet, brined and hand-breaded, so it stays juicy under the crust.
- Sweet and spicy pickles. They cut the oil and keep each bite from going heavy.
- Ranch.Cool against the cayenne. Don't skip it.
- Shredded iceberg.Crunch, and a bit of lift so it isn't all heat and bread.
- Garlic milk bun. Toasted, soft, built to soak up the spiced oil the way white bread does in Nashville.

Yep. Fried chicken on a milk bun — pickles, ranch, the lot. We call it a sando because that's the Nashville word for the sandwich. Same feed either way.
What heat should I get?

Is it halal?
The chicken is halal-sourced from Farmer Joe's, a halal-certified poultry supplier. Leave the optional Peach Jam off and the regular menu stays halal — that's the only exception. How our sourcing works →
